What do Cybersecurity and Swiss Cheese have in common?

Watch this video to learn what pieces of Swiss cheese can teach us about cybersecurity protection.

Defense in Depth is a concept that’s central to cybersecurity protection, or more accurately it’s a mindset about cybersecurity protection. Rather than thinking in terms of single protective measures such as antivirus software, think in terms of implementing multiple layers of protection. Antivirus alone will not protect you or your organization from cyber attacks. No single protection will do the trick.

The layers that have been identified in the Swiss cheese model are:

  • Threat modeling and assessment
  • Training and awareness
  • Identify and authentication
  • Endpoint protection
  • Policies
  • Testing and monitoring
  • Preparedness and incident response

Putting together these layers helps to ensure that your organization is protected against today and tomorrow’s cyber threats.

A Cybersecurity Assessment is the first, crucial layer of protection. RoundTable Technology offers this first step for free. Let us know if you’re interested in having a discovery call to learn more about our free and confidential assessment. FREE CYBERSECURITY ASSESSMENT
