Wanted: Solutions Consultant
Role Overview
The mission of the Solutions Consultant role is to bring in new Members and add new business in the form of Monthly Recurring Revenue contracts. The Solutions Consultant will be strategic in prospecting for new clients through various activities including cold calling, soliciting referrals, attending events, nurturing relationships, and networking to establish sufficient opportunities to build a pipeline of potential business opportunities.
The Solutions Consultant will conduct discovery meetings to gather information to determine a prospect’s needs and then position RoundTable Technology’s unique qualifications and company overview in an effective manner to demonstrate our value. This role requires preparing and presenting sales proposals or other contracts in a way that aligns RoundTable Technology’s solutions to the prospect’s needs. The Solutions Consultant diligently manages sales administration tasks, such as updating CRM records, logging sales activities, and maintaining accurate client correspondence and documentation.
The Solutions Consultant embodies the role of an advisor and advocate, with a passion for technology and a deep commitment to advancing the nonprofit sector through innovative or transformative IT solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Close sales to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives
- Increase our RoundTable Community Membership (clients)
- Lead the end-to-end sales process by assessing needs, providing guidance, eliminating obstacles, and negotiating contracts to ensure the successful closing of new business.
- Track all new leads generated, meetings held, proposals sent, and other sales efforts.
- Manage and report on sales activities and metrics, including close ratios, pipeline analysis, and revenue forecasting.
- Build and maintain strategic alliances, partnerships, and other valuable relationships that continue to identify RTT as a leading provider of nonprofit tech solutions.
- Serve as a thought leader, both internally and externally, by educating nonprofits on technological advancements and strategies, keeping a pulse on nonprofit trends, and fostering innovation in the development of our nonprofit technology service offering.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Managed Service Provider and IT Consulting sales preferred
- Proven successful track record in consultative sales and solution-based selling
- Comfortable with networking, persuasion, and negotiation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can plan and prioritize to meet required deadlines and quotas
- Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking when analyzing and solving problems
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into client-friendly language
- Proficient in Google Workspace, plus Hubspot or other CRMs
- Interest in or experience with the technological needs in the Nonprofit sector
Schedule
- This is a salaried position with general hours of 40-45 hours per week expected.
- Core business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; hours may be discretionary based on schedules for events, prospect engagements, etc that may be outside of normal business hours.
Location
- This position is for the state of Texas and the applicant’s home location must be located within the state.
- Ability to travel to prospective clients in the region, as well as occasional travel to events throughout the United States is required.
